Milan still lack some depth in attack and he could cover a number of bases.

Tuttosport via MilanLive.it are reporting that AC Milan will make an approach for Atalanta veteran attacker Josip Ilicic later in the month of August as they look to secure him at a cut rate price given he is in his final year of contract and does not seem to be part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans. Stefano Pioli appreciates the versatility of the player as he can occupy the right wing role or the attacking midfield one. He would bring experience and some creativity to that wing which has been sorely lacking.

Calcio Mercato are reporting that Atalanta have set an asking price of 8 million euros for the 33 year old which is considered too high by Maldini and Massara. Milan will reportedly reach out to Atalanta in about two weeks with an offer of a loan with an option to buy at 3 million euros. The player would like to move to Milan and this could help the process along.
