AC Milan have been working to bring back Diogo Dalot from Manchester United as he did enough to impress the manager to be a depth option in his loan last season. Milan are getting closer to the sweet spot to negotiate his release and a resolution should come in August.
Pianeta Milan are reporting that United are still assessing the player in the pre season to see if he can fight for a starting spot. Milan meanwhile have been in contacts with the club throughout the summer trying to find an agreement that works. It seems a late move in the window is likely where the Rossoner will offer a paid loan of about 3-4 million euros and an option to buy the Portugal international.
The United manager spoke to the press via MilanLive.it to say:
“It may be too early to assess Dalot and Van de Beek, maybe we need one or two secondary appearances. We can probably line up Diogo and Donny from the start against Preston on Saturday, as I said before the game, so let’s see how the other guys who came back on Friday night feel.”
