Bild via MilanLive.it are reporting that AC Milan target Marcel Sabitzer is considered to be on the market for RB Leipzig. The Austria international has been at the side for a number of years as a core part of the squad but the report notes that 15-20 million euros would be enough to convince the club. This is in part due to the expiring contract of the player next summer and the lack of an agreement between the club and player. Sabitzer is considered a top option for Milan as he is versatile and can contribute both in attack and dropping back.
Sabitzer has played 227 games for Leipzig over 6 seasons. He has scored 52 goals and provided 42 assists helping the side finish 2nd twice and 3rd twice despite being in the second division in 2015/16. The 27 year old would add experience as he has been regularly playing in the Champions League over the past couple of years and would closely fit Stefano Pioli’s mould of a trequartista.
