Radio Rossonera are reporting that Venezia directors Paolo Pggi and Mattia Collauto were at Casa Milan to meet the management of AC Milan yesterday to discuss a potential move for out of favour centre back Mattia Caldara.
MilanNews.it are reporting that Venezia are leading the race for the moment but note that other teams are interested. Caldara has only played 2 games for Milan since he arrived in 2018 and spent 18 months on loan at Atalanta where he played 27 games.
Calcio Mercato are reporting that Venezia are accelerating the approach to sign Caldara. They will want to take him on loan and are offering him regular playing time which he will definitely not get with the Rossoneri this season. The salary will definitely be an issue as he currently earns 2 million euros per year which is too high for a newly promoted club. The report adds that Fiorentina have considered a move but nothing has come of it yet.
