The rumours keeps flying but seems rather unlikely at this point of the summer.

Sport are reporting that AC Milan and FC Barcelona could conduct a swap deal for Alessio Romagnoli and Philippe Coutinho this summer. Each player is admired by the other’s club and would fill a gap in their respective squads. There is a likelier chance of Romagnoli heading to Barcelona as the conditions are ripe but Coutinho to Milan would be complicated by his high salary.

Calcio Mercato are reporting that Romagnoli future at Milan has not been decided this summer as he could stay and fight for his spot as he is captain but could also be sold to fund other deals or as part of a swap. They conservatively state that Milan will accept offers in excess of 10 million euros which seems really low. The report notes that the is some buzz around a move to Barcelona for the centre back but note that a swap deal is off the table. They are betting on Romagnoli remaining at the club this season.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that there are no talks at the moment for a swap deal but he adds that Coutinho is on the market. Barcelona are looking to offload some of their expensive contracts this summer hence something could open up later down the line.
