AC Milan via their website have officially announced the signing of Laura Giuliani after months of rumours regarding her arrival. The Italian goalkeeper, a key player of the National Team, played a few seasons in Germany before returning to Italy in 2017, where she played for Juventus Women’s First Team. Laura Giuliani has signed a contract with the Rossoneri until 30/06/2024 and will be wearing the number 1 jersey.
Giuliani leaving Juventus Women will be a big blow in the leadership sense but less so from a goalkeeping perspective as her backup Doris Bacic is pretty good. Giuliani is a fixture of the national team and won the Serie A Femminile with Juventus in 2018 for the first time ever and went on to win the league an additional three times consecutively. She has been a core player in that side hence her winning mentality will be much needed at Milan. She also has one Coppa Italia title.
