AC Milan via their website have officially announced the signing of Sara Thrige Andersen for the Women’s side. The Danish full back, coming from DBK Fortuna Hjørring, has signed a contract with the Rossoneri until 30/06/2023 and will be wearing the number 3 jersey. Andersen is a versatile player who has often played as a midfielder for her previous side but is expected to play dominantly as a full back on the right side. The 25 year old has been capped by the Denmark national side 31 times where she has scored 4 times and has 91 caps for her former club scoring 12 goals.
She will bring a winning mentality as she has won the league in Denmark twice and the cup once in the past couple of seasons. She joins a number of new signings made by the Women’s side in the past two weeks in preparation of the new season as we reported here.
