The defender joins the team after signing for them last year and after spending last season on loan with Napoli.
Árnadóttir is a strong and promising defender, who, despite her youthful age, has played matches at the highest level. She has experience playing in both the Champions League with Valur and with Iceland during their European qualifiers.
From the club themselves:
AC Milan are delighted to announce that Iceland player, Guðný Árnadóttir, who has returned from her loan at Napoli Femminile, will be part of the Women’s First Team until 30/06/2023 and will wear the number four shirt.
Guðný will also wear the number four shirt. Árnadóttir taking the number four shirt means that Milan’s current number four, Yui Hasegawa, is most likely leaving.
The Icelandic defender is one of many players that the Rossonere are bringing in to strengthen the team. You can read a brief overview of the player here.
And welcome to the team, Guðný.
