Gianluca di Marzio via MilanNews.it is reporting that AC Milan are currently scanning the market for a back up left back who can deputise Theo Hernandez for the season as the depth at left back has been thin over the past few seasons. Diego Laxalt has officially been sold to Dinamo Moscow thus Milan can reinvest that money in an affordable option. The report notes that Milan are considering 23 year old Giuseppe Pezzella from Parma. Pezzella has 24 appearances in the league last season scoring 1 goal and providing 4 assists. Milan will look to score a bargain given that Parma were relegated and the player may force a move.
Manuele Baiocchini spoke to Sky Italia via MilanNews.it and said:
“Watch out for the left-back position, there could be an inquiry over Giuseppe Pezzella. Milan made an evaluation. Last week it seemed well underway, then Milan took a few more days to decide. As a new name, we can say that Giuseppe Pezzella is an idea, not yet a negotiation.”
