Now that we are at the 1st of July 2021, Gianluigi Donnarumma is technically no longer an AC Milan player and his move to Paris Saint Germain should be completed shortly. Donnarumma did not respond to the offer from Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara for a long period this season and the directors took action by signing Mike Maignan from LOSC Lille getting ahead of the problem. Donnarumma was on a salary of 6 million euros a season and was pushing to earn at least 10-12 million euros in the renewal.
Donnarumma broke into the first team from the Primavera in the 2015/16 season replacing veteran Diego Lopez. He managed to play 251 official matches for Milan over 6 seasons keeping 88 clean sheets. He helped the Rossoneri qualify for the Champions League this last season and won the Supercoppa Italiana with the club in 2016/17.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the move to PSG is complete as the keeper underwent his medicals last week and signed his contract last Friday to seal the move reuniting with former Milan director Leonardo in Paris.
