MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan intend to go forward with their plans for a new stadium with or without Inter Milan as the owners of the club - Elliot Management - consider this to be a fundamental step forward for the future of the Rossoneri. Inter have been struggling financially as their parent company have gone through a rough patch which includes dissolving their club in China and deferring salary payments for the players at Inter. The report notes that Milan will consider going forward alone if Inter are to drop out for whatever reason.
As a reminder, the clubs were considering two designs from Manica and Populous with ‘The Rings’ and ‘The Cathedral’ respectively. The clubs had to struggle with the City Council for a significant period of time over regulations and seemed close prior to Inter’s issues.
