As we reported here, AC Milan are working closely with Chelsea FC to potentially close a triple swoop following the successful redemption of Fikayo Tomori. Milan are looking to Tiemoue Bakayoko as their midfield reinforcement following his loan at Napoli last season. The player is appreciated by Milan’s management and fans following his year at Milan and should be available for a transfer given Chelsea do not plan to use the player going forward. Bakayoko would be an important cover for Franck Kessie who is set to miss the start of the season with the Olympics and the mid season with the AFCON.

Nizaar Kinsella of Goal spoke to Sempre Milan and said:

“Yes, Milan are interested in Bakayoko for sure and the asking price has come down since they last took him on loan. Bakayoko is in the last year of his contract and should be available for less than 20m euros. Milan seems to be his preferred destination at this stage. Nice have asked about him but he is less interested in that move.”
