Three AC Milan players got knocked out in the round of sixteen leaving just one Rossoneri representative in the quarter finals in the form of centre back Simon Kjaer as he captains Denmark. Here’s a recap of Milan players in the last round:

Diogo Dalot - Portugal

Dalot started for Portugal at right back against Belgium and played the full 90 minutes. His side were stifled in attack and he didn’t always put his most confident foot forward as the defending champions were knocked out of the Euros 1-0.

Ante Rebic - Croatia

Rebic started for Croatia on the left wing against Spain in a thrilling game that ended 3-3 at half time following an insane comeback from Croatia. Rebic was withdrawn in the 67th minute alongside the rest of the attack. He did not have a good tournament as his side crashed out 5-3 in extra time.

Mike Maignan - France

Maignan did not play a minute of football for France given he is their third keeper. His side were favourites to win the tournament but got shockingly knocked out by Switzerland in a 3-3 thriller followed by a 5-4 loss on penalties as Kylian Mbappe missed his shot.

Simon Kjaer - Denmark

Kjaer will be the only Rossonero maing it to the quarter finals as he led his side to a dominant 4-0 victory against Wales in the round of 16. Kjaer was worryingly substituted off in the 77th minute with an injury. It remains to be seen how serious this was and whether he will play in the quart final against Czech Republic on Saturday.
