Marca are reporting that the talks between AC Milan and Everton for Colombia international are at an advanced stage. Milan are in the market for an attacking midfielder following the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu on a free transfer to city rivals Inter Milan last week. Rodriguez is represented by Jorge Mendes who also represents Rafael Leao. The idea is a 10 million euros fee plus bonuses for the veteran of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich who is now 29 years old. There have previously been rumours of a swap deal being considered with Leao.
Daniele Longo is reporting that Rodriguez has been offered to Milan by Mendes but the club are only evaluating the opportunity at the moment. He states that there are no advanced talks.
Carlo Ancelotti - who has been his manager - commented on the potential deal via MilanNews.it and said:
“He is a very pure talent, a great player. He had some physical problems and his contribution to the cause has therefore been reduced.”
