Four players from AC Milan will be taking part in the knock out stages of the Euros which begin this weekend. Here’s the players and a look at their games:
Diogo Dalot - Portugal
Dalot was a last minute call up to his national team when Joao Cancelo was ruled out of the tournament. He made his first appearance in the final group stage match against France in a 2-2 draw that secured a place for Portugal in the next round. His side take on Belgium on Sunday as they look to defend their title.
Mike Maignan - France
The new Rossoneri signing is the third goalkeeper for France hence is unlikely to feature as Hugo Lloris occupies the starting spot. His side finished top of their group as they launch their assault for the Euro title coming in as World Champions. They face Switzerland in the round of sixteen on Monday.
Simon Kjaer - Denmark
Kjaer has laready had a difficult tournament with the incident of teammate and friend Christian Eriksen collapsing but he has shown his leadership and he motivated his side to secure a place in the knockout stages with a massive victory on the final day beating Russia 4-1 to secure a second place finish. Kjaer and his side will face Wales on Saturday for their round of sixteen tie.
Ante Rebic - Croatia
Rebic has been in a difficult position as Croatia deploy him as a striker and not on his preferred left wing. He started the first two games but was on the bench for the final game. His side secured a place in the round of sixteen in a 3-1 win over Scotland where Rebic came off the bench for the final ten minutes. His side face Spain on Monday.
