Fabrizio Romano is reporting that AC Milan’s no. 10 Hakan Calhanoglu has decided to reject the contract renewal offer from the club and join crosstown rivals Inter Milan on a free transfer following a terrible display at the Euros with Turkey where his side got kicked out from the group stages.

Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that Calhanoglu will undergo his medicals today and will sign a 3 year deal worth 5 million euros per year plus 1 million in bonuses with Inter.

Nicolo Schira is reporting that the player will receive 4.5 million euros per year plus bonuses compared to Milan’s offer of 4 million euros per season.

The 27 year old attacking midfielder will leave Milan after 4 seasons since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2017. He played 172 games for the club scoring 32 goals and providing 48 assists but this hardly represents the true inconsistency of his spell.

Calhanoglu spoke to TRT Sport in Turkey yesterday and confirmed the move saying,

“I agreed a deal with Inter. I’m going to Milan. I will sign a contract tomorrow.”
