Gianluca di Marzio via Sempre Milan is reporting that AC Milan are competing with Inter Milan to sign Sassuolo’s 21 year old striker Giacomo Raspadori who stung the Rossoneri with a brace about a month ago. The player has been called up by Roberto Mancini for the Euros and his stock is rising sky high. The deal is expected to be a very expensive one if Sassuolo decide to cash in on the flashy youngster.
Corriere dello Sport via Calciomercato.it are reporting that Simone Inzaghi appreciated the player when he was at Lazio and will now take the opportunity to make a play for him at Inter. Milan on the other hand are looking for a long term option as they look to lean on Ibrahimovic and Giroud in the short term. The report notes that Milan are well behind Inter in this race.
Raspadori broke out toward the end of this season as he bagged 6 goals and provided 3 assists. He scored goals against Milan, AS Roma, Juventus and got an assist against Napoli over the course of the year.
