Fabrizio Romano is reporting that AC Milan and Chelsea have agreed on the redemption of centre back Fikayo Tomori for 27 million euros following his 6 month loan (which cost 1 million euros). The England international will join the Rossoneri permanently soon after the 23 year old impressed the fans and management in his spell which helped Milan secure Champions League football. The player is expected to sign a 5 year contract with the club.
Calcio Mercato are reporting that that Milan have indeed struck a deal with Chelsea for the Tomori and they will be taking up their option on the centre back. The note that the announcement is expected by the end of the week and will be the second signing of the summer.
Nizaar Kinsella of Goal is also confirming the report but notes that Milan have been in talks to spread the payments as opposed to negotiate them.
This is a huge step forward for Milan who have struggled to negotiate with Chelsea and close deals in the past. This goes to show how important the defender has been for the Rossoneri.
