Peppe di Stefano for Sky Italia via MilanNews.it is reporting that AC Milan met with Fikayo Tomori last week to discuss his future at the club. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara met with the player to discuss the options and take stock of his technical performance over the course of the past months. Tomori currently has a buy option set at 28 million euros which Milan consider high but would be willing to pay to ensure they do not miss out on a talented centre back for a couple of years.
Goal are meanwhile reporting that the 23 year old would like to remain in Italy but notes that Champions League qualification will be important both for the club to afford Tomori and for the player to buy into the project. The report notes that Chelsea is unlikely to give any discounts to Milan as the want to raise about 100 million pounds from sales to sign a top striker this summer.
