AC Milan

AC Milan have officially announced the signing of Mike Maignan from LOSC Lille on a 5 year contract. The France international will be the Rossoneri’s new goalkeeper replacing Gianluigi Donnarumma and will wear the jersey number 16 starting next season. The shot stopper kept the most clean sheets in any of Europe’s top five leagues this past season with 21.

The 25 year old was brought up in the PSG Academy and had some experience with Zlatan Ibrahimovic there but has played at Lille since 2015 culminating in the league title this season. He has made 180 appearances for Lille keeping 65 clean sheets in that time.

The player has been capped by the French national team and will be joining the squad for the Euros next month but will likely be in reserve behind Hugo Lloris.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Milan signed him for 13 million euros plus an additional 2 million in bonuses and notes that he will receive a wage of 2.8 million euros a year.
