AC Milan via their website have announced the contract renewal of midfielder Christy Grimshaw for another year. The 25 year old midfielder has been an integral part of the unit helping the attacking transition of play. She was important in the side that secured Champions League football for the first time and is set to vie for the Coppa Italia trophy this weekend.
The official statement read:
“AC Milan have announced the extension of the agreement of Women’s First Team player Christy Grimshaw. The Scottish midfielder arrived in Milan last July, registering 25 appearances and two goals scored. Grimshaw will continue to wear the red and black jersey next season.”
She has played 25 games, scoring 2 goals and providing 4 assists across all competitions.
She joined the Rossoneri last July after a spell with Metz in France. She is yet to play for her national team but will definitely be in the mix after her impressive season in Italy.
