Simon Kjaer has been honoured with the Gentleman Award for the Player of the Season in Serie A for the previous season. Kjaer anchored the defence with a remarkable 27 appearances keeping pace with Alessio Romagnoli and Fikayo Tomori to support Milan’s defence. Kjaer said after winning via MilanNews.it:
“Behaving well on and off the pitch is important, it also means being an example for team-mates and fans. It was a special season without the fans at the stadium, I didn’t think it would happen in my career. We have missed our fans so much, but we have always felt close to them. We hope to see them again at the stadium soon.”
