Whatever it is that you do when you do what you’re doing, it’s a feeling that I want to stay - SWV

From the team themselves:
AC Milan have announced the extension of the agreement of Women’s First Team player Verónica Boquete. The Spanish midfielder will continue to wear the red-and-black jersey next season.
Boquete, who joined the team last November, has made 18 appearances with the Rossonere between Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa, scoring two decisive goals in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal.
Remember when we were the first site to write about Vero coming to Milan in English? Well, there was a reason why we were so excited about the potential move. And lo and behold, it has turned out to be everything we hoped it would be.
While there have been a few hiccups along the way (e.g. the unfortunate 4-0 loss against Juve and Vero being constantly played out of position), Verónica’s presence has no doubt, enhanced the team and has made them legitimate contenders.
The fact that Milan has qualified for the Champions League for the first time and will play in the Coppa Italia final would attest to this.
So far this season, Verónica has scored two goals and has made three assists for Milan. The Rossonere seem to be getting serious about their women’s project, as her signing is an indication that Milan have high ambitions for the team. And if the rumors are true, then Boquete might be the first in a series of high-profile moves for the team (and we’ll discuss more about that later).
Milan are very fortunate to have a player of Boquete’s caliber on their team. Verónica is one of the greatest players of all time, as she is the first Spaniard to have won the Women’s Champions League with FFC Frankfurt and she also captained Spain to their first-ever Women’s World Cup in 2015. Vero paved the way for other women in football, including the players of FC Barcelona, who became the first Spanish team to win the UWCL last week.
Vero’s signing is special for Milan in other ways as well. The Milanisti are so used to their favorite players being sold off to balance the books and we’re not used to signing any big players to fill the void.
Verónica’s signing reversed that trend. It was the first time in a long while that we could celebrate signing such a special player. It was also a sign that hope was on the horizon and that better days are coming.
We can only hope that we are at the beginning of a beautiful chapter for Milan and that Vero will be here to help us write it.
And remember when I sang Faith Evans after she officially signed for us?
Well, after all these months, those feelings still remain and are the same. We’ll close out the piece by letting Ms. Evans sing the way we feel.
♫ Oh, I
I can’t believe it’s real
I can’t believe it’s true
I can’t believe that you chose me
When I was choosing you
And I can’t believe that you are here with me
And I am here with you ♫
We’re so glad that you’re going to be staying with us for a little while longer, Verónica.
