Tuttosport via MilanLive.it reported a while back that AC Milan may need to sacrifice some players this summer to invest in the market and captain Alessio Romagnoli may be an option and he has suitors. The defender has been used sparingly since the arrival of Chelsea loanee Fikayo Tomori, initially due to injury and lately as he has fallen behind Simon Kjaer and Tomori in the pecking order.
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that a number of clubs are interested in the defender but that Atlético Madrid could be a real destination for the centre back. The 26 year old has a contract expiring in the summer of 2022.
Nicolo Schira is reporting that Barcelona are considering Romagnoli as potential replacement for Samuel Umtiti this summer. The Spanish club have requested information on the centre back through the player’s agent, Mino Raiola.
Tuttosport via MilanLive.it are reporting that Romagnoli wants to remain at Milan but the negotiations over a new deal look to be complicated as he will want a big increase in wages.
