Gazzetta dello Sport via MilanNews.it are reporting that Gianluigi Donnarumma and his agent Mino Raiola are yet to respond to AC Milan’s most recent contract offer which sits at 8 million euros per year for the 22 year old. Raiola is still reportedly asking for 10 million a year and is waiting to confirm that Milan qualify for the UEFA Champions League at long last.
Calcio Mercato are reporting that Milan are starting to warm up to the idea of extending the contract of Donnarumma to buy them more time to properly negotiate a long term deal. It could be one or two years long.
Lucar Marchetti speaking to Tutto Mercato Web is reporting that there are no big teams lining up for Donnarumma at the moment as most have invested in a long term goalkeeping option at this point hence it is likelier that he remains.
Fabrizio Romano on his podcast via Route One Football has said:
“I think Donnarumma is waiting to see what happens with the Champions League and that’s why the talks between the parties involved is bit slow. There’s nothing with Chelsea at the moment. It’s my personal feeling that he will extend with Milan. 3 years ago PSG were offering something incredible. Like a limousine for Donnarumma, a big house for his family and big salary like €12m per season but he decided to extend with Milan.”
