La Repubblica via Milan Reports are reporting that AC Milan have reached an agreement with AS Roma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante to join this summer. The goalkeeper is a Serie A veteran having played in the league for Parma, Bologna, Sampdoria and even Juventus with 368 appearances in the league. He will join on a free transfer as he is not looking to renew with Roma this summer.
In his most recent spell, he has been with AS Roma for the past three seasons where he has played 33 games games for them and kept 13 clean sheets across all competitions.
The 37 year old is reportedly going to replace current back up goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu which seems strange considering he has a contract running until 2023 with the Rossoneri.
He could likelier be brought in to replace Antonio Donnarumma whose contract will elapse this summer and not likely be renewed given his sparse usage since being signed in the summer of 2017.
