MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to training with the team off the back of a huge 3-0 defeat to Lazio on the road that send Milan down the table to 5th place after spending over 30 match days in 1st or 2nd position. The Sweden international has been a leader for Milan since his arrival in January 2020 but the side have greatly struggled in his absence especially for goals.
The 39 year old striker should be back for the game against Benevento this weekend as Milan cannot afford to lose a single game from here on out as they risk falling further and losing touch with the UCL places.
The striker has 17 goals and 3 assists in all competitions despite playing just 25 games this season averaging a goal every 104 minutes.
The striker will be a welcome addition as Milan have struggled to score in recent weeks with losses againsr Napoli, Sassuolo and Lazio.
