AC Milan Renew The Contract Of Veteran Striker For Another Year

The striker gets another shot at the Capocannoniere but will need to stay fit.

AC Milan

AC Milan are reporting on their website that the club has signed a contract renewal with veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the second time since his return to Milan in January 2020. The Sweden international initially joined the club on a six month deal after leaving Los Angeles Galaxy at the end of his contract, he was then offered a one year deal for the 2020/21 season and now has another one year deal for the 2021/22 season. This means the player will still be playing for Milan at 40 years old given his impressive goals per minute ratio from this season. The striker will want to play for the Rossoneri in the Champions League but the club are in a very precarious situation following their loss to Sassuolo in mid week. MilanNews.it are reporting that the striker will earn the same wage at 7 million euros per year with some potential bonuses.

The striker has 17 goals and 3 assists in all competitions this season despite playing just 25 games averaging a goal every 104 minutes.
