Calcio Mercato are reporting that Atalanta are looking less and less likely to activate their buy out option for AC Milan centre back Mattia Caldara after he has been plagued with injuries in his short time with the club. The 26 year old joined his former club on an 18 month loan with an option to buy and has made 18 appearances in 6 months last season and then got injured which has led him to play only 8 times in 7 months this season. The financial consideration is considered too high for Atalanta and the arrival of Anel Ahmedhodzic at the club throws his purchase into turmoil as there is a replacement ready. They might attempt to negotiate for a lower price.

Nicolo Schira is reporting that it is likely that he returns to Milan which means the Rossoneri could miss out on 15 million euros in sales revenue. The player is deemed excess to requirements at the San Siro hence he will likely leave to another club in the summer but at a much lower price representing an even larger loss for Milan.
