MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan striker has been suspended for one game by the Sporting Judge following his red card in the game against Parma for remarks toward the referee. Despite the referee clearing misunderstanding his remarks, the red card stands and the player has also be dealt with a 5,000 euro fine ‘for having, in the 15th minute of the second half, uttered, with a provocative attitude, a disrespectful criticism to the referee of the game’.
Tutto Mercato Web are reporting that the ruling raises more questions that it answers as Ibrahimovic should have been suspended for two games if he was actually abusive or disrespectful toward the referee.
Ibrahimovic will thus miss the fixture with Genoa this weekend as the Rossoneri look to break their poor run of form at home. Sky Italia via Calcio Mercato are reporting that Rafael Leao will likely start in place of the Swede.
