Tuttosport via MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan’s management are in awe of central defensive midfielder Franck Kessie after the huge impact he has had this season. The midfielder has shown himself to be a leader for the squad and has even worn the captain’s armband on occasion when Romagnoli and Donnarumma were out. The midfielder has a contract until the summer of 2022 and Milan are looking to open talks to renew his contract now. The rush is so as to avoid a situation similar to that of Calhanoglu and Donnarumma next summer. A significant pay rise is expected and the player wants to remain.
Sky Italia via MilanNews.it are reporting that Kessie is now considered to be one of the pillars of the current squad and that Milan have put forward a renewal deal worth 3.5 million euros per year but this is less than the expectation of the player.
Kessie has 10 goals in the league thus far this season.
