AC Milan Are Hoping To Sign Atalanta’s Veteran Attacker This Summer Amidst Row With Manager

The attacker is versatile and is experienced both in the UCL and Serie A.

Gianluca di Marzio via are reporting that AC Milan are very interested in making a move for Atalanta veteran Josip Ilicic. The player currently has a strained relationship with his manager Gian Piero Gasperini. Ricky Massara has been following him since his time at Roma and would like to bring him to Milan now.

Di Marzio via is also reporting that the versatility of Ilicic to be able to play as a attacking midfielder, a winger or a striker is extremely alluring. The Slovenia interntional has a contract expiring with La Dea in 2022 and the 33 year could be sold for a cheaper price this summer.

Ilicic has 55 goals and 37 assists and 141 games for Atalanta. He also has 37 goals and 18 assists for Fiorentina and 25 goals and 18 assists for Palermo.

Atalanta’s Technical Director has come out in responce via Calcio Mercato to say:

“I have read, but this interest does not appear to us: it is news without any foundation.”
