AC Milan Women took on Juventus in the Serie A Femminile title game in Vinovo this morning. Milan sat in second place and Juventus in first heading into the crunch tie. Milan were simply outclassed as Juventus hit them on the counter time and time again whilst Milan struggled to create opportunities in the attack. Bonansea opened the scoring for Juventus from a easy shot from inside the box on the 15th minute followed by Hurting scoring on the 27th minute when Korenciova’s save was not enough. In the second half, Staskova scored in the 83rd minute with a tap in finish. Finally, Milan were hit with one more goal in the additional minutes of the game when Caruso took a shot which deflected of Rizza to go over Korenciova to cap off a harsh 4-0 loss.
The result leaves a bitter taste as Milan now sit six point off the top spot and their winning run of 10 games in a row in the league is halted. Milan have been unable to beat Juventus this season.
