AC Milan face Hellas Verona amidst a terrible injury crisis which will force Stefano Pioli to feature a completely untested attack with absolutely no depth off the bench. Milan will need to rely on Kessie, Leao and Calabria to come up with some magic if we are to have any chance of leaving the city with all three points.
Key Battles
Centre Back vs Right Winger
Matteo Lovato vs Samu Castillejo
Lovato will be the man to beat in defence today and Castillejo will need to try and take a more direct approach on goal given that Rebic is out and Leao will be isolated in attack. Castillejo could be the wild card who manages to score today as he did on occasion last year. This will be a key match up as the only natural positioned attacker today.
Right attacking midfielder vs Left back
Antonin Barak vs Diogo Dalot
Dalot has been thrown into the deep end against an in-form Barak who scored against Juventus a week ago and is a very direct threat on goal running havoc down the wing. Dalot has not imposed himself on any opposition since his first two games in the UEL and will need to be defensively solid today.
Left attacking midfielder vs Central defensive midfielder
Matteo Zaccagni vs Soualiho Meite
This is the scariest match up for us. Zaccagni has been on top form for his side and will be going up against one of our poorest players. Meite has not held up since his loan begun and will be filling in for Tonali today against a very tricky opponent who will want to dictate the tempo of the attack. If Meite can magically hold off Zaccagni it will give us a huge chance to get three points from this game.
Predictions
Castillejo Winner
Barak Winner
Zaccagni Winner
