AC Milan’s Management Meet With Trequartista At Casa Milan To Discuss Contract Renewal

Milan want to renew the Turkey international after he has been an integral part of Stefano Pioli’s system despite spells of inconsistency.

Manuele Baiocchini of Sky Italia via MilanNews.it is reporting that AC Milan trequartista Hakan Calhanoglu was present at Casa Milan yesterday to discuss his contract renewal. The report notes that the player wants to reduce the economic distance between the offer presented by the management and his desire hence this was an important meeting. The talks were reportedly very positive and both sides are eager to get the deal over the line. The report goes on to state that Calhanoglu has lowered his requests and that the bonuses being offered will be easy to attain and will close the gap.

The agent of the player Gordon Stipic was reportedly not present at the meeting at Casa Milan yesterday. From Milan’s side Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and even Ivan Gazidis were present to drive the talks forward.

Calhaonglu’s deal expires in June, he has thus far played 159 games in all competitions scoring 29 goals and providing 47 assists since he joined in the summer of 2017.
