AC Milan Women took on Inter Milan in the derby yesterday morning and came away with an emphatic win showing their determination to finish in the Champions League places this season. Milan Women went down 1-0 early in the game but responded exceptionally well led by captain Valentina Giacinti who scored a first half hat-trick and capped it off with a four goal in the second half for a 4-1 win. The third was an incredible first post finish after Dowie cross opened up space behind the centre backs. Finally, a good move from Milan culminated in a cross to Hasegawa who laid it off for Giacinti to smash in her fourth of the game. A huge win ahead of the second leg in the Coppa Italia against Inter next month.
