Antonio Vitiello is reporting that AC Milan have opened talks with midfielder Franck Kessie to extend his contract which is set to expire in the summer of 2022. Milan’s management met with his agent yesterday and there is great optimism on finding an agreement.
Sky Italia via MilanNews.it are reporting that the meeting was positive and that Milan put forward an offer. They note that Kessie currently earns 2.2 million euros and his agent wants double of that amount to sign. The current offer will likely be turned down hence more meetings are expected to unlock a solution.
Nicolo Schira is reporting that Milan met with his agent George Atangana and is hoping for a contract extension until 2026 hence adding four years onto the existing contract. He also notes that the request is for 4.5 million per year whilst Milan are currently offering 3.5 million euros.
Kessie is currently having one of his best seasons with the Rossoneri as he has registered 10 goals and 3 assists in all competitions thus far.
