AC Milan are reporting via their website that attackers Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic will not join their national teams despite being called up due to injuries. The attackers were not present for either of Milan;s final two games ahead of the international break against Manchester United and Fiorentina this past week. Milan have 14 players called up with most taking part in qualifiers. Leao has been called up to Portugal’s U21 side and Rebic to Croatia’s first team. They will join the likes of Alessio Romagnoli and Davide Calabria who also received call ups but will not be able to join their respective national sides.

Milan are also reportedly in the process of appealing Rebic’s two match ban for a red card in Serie A as they hope to have him for the Sampdoria game.
