AC Milan took on Fiorentina on the road and came away with a huge 3-2 win ahead of the international in a weekend where both Juventus and Roma dropped points. Milan welcomed back Ibrahimovic, Calhanoglu and Bennacer - two of who scored and gambled on Brahim Diaz as a starter and he also scored. This was a good display as the Rossoneri came from behind to win and registered a good number of goals in the game. Milan sit in second place now for the next two weeks and have a slight edge.

STARTING LINE-UP

Gianluigi Donnarumma: Tough game for Gigio as he was beaten from a set piece and then again by Ribery. He held up well but should’ve done better on the corners. 5.5/10

Diogo Dalot: The game once again showed that Dalot has not adjusted well to Serie A. He was destroyed by Ribery down that wing and needed to be bailed out time and time again by Tonali in the first half. He also struggled when going forward slowing down the attack. 5/10

Simon Kjaer: What an unbelievable display from him. He was solid in defence pressing well and keeping Ribery back. Most significantly, he contributed with two amazing assist for Ibrahimovic and Diaz. 8/10

Fikayo Tomori: Wow. The way he handled Vlahovic combatting his strength was incredible. His pace to match Ribery and Castrovilli was stunning. His aggressive pressing led to the interception that kicked off the move for the winning goal of the game. 7.5/10

Theo Hernandez: Another FOTM performance from the Frenchman. He is so poor defensively and has terrible decision making in attack hence is contributing very little to the side. We are now also constantly conceding goals from attacks down his wing as he leaves gaps and does not close down crosses. 5/10

Sandro Tonali: A good showing from him as he kept the pressure on and went head to head with Bonaventura and Castrovilli. He contributed to the flow of the game going forward and is showing his maturity. 6/10

Franck Kessie: Kessie still looked tired in this game but managed the midfield with grace nonetheless. He imposed his will and cleaned up very well, he was a little late to intercept Ribery’s shot on goal but was otherwise solid. He did so well to get an assist for the winner after carrying the ball and laying off to Calhanoglu. 7/10

Alexis Saelemaekers: The winger managed his runs forward much better in this game and continued to contribute defensively. Good game from him. 6/10

Hakan Calhanoglu: A tale of two halves. Ineffective and lethargic in the first. Precise and decisive in the second. He comes through with the winner. 7/10

Brahim Diaz: Not the best performance from him but he bagged a goal and showed a big improvement in the second half. He needs to work on his strength and balance. 6.5/10

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: What a return for the striker. He scored a stunner, hit the post after wrecking the defence and chipping the keeper, he took an outrageous flicked shot from outside the box and hit the post and made his presence known. Zlatan, you were missed. 7.5/10

SUBSTITUTES

Samu Castillejo: He had a few golden opportunities to run at goal but wasted them, he needs to be more decisive. 5.5/10

Ismael Bennacer: An outstanding return for the midfielder. He showed his nimble movement and pinpoint tackling. Promising days ahead with him back. 6.5/10

Rade Krunic: Krunic is becoming a useful substitute of the bench. He brings some calm in the midfield and offers some hold up play. 6/10

Soualiho Meite: He looked nervous and still worries me when on the pitch. He needs to be more confident on the ball and quick to release. N/A

MANAGER

Stefano Pioli: An overall good game from him, he managed the changes well and reacted positively to going behind. He used his returning players well and gambled on Diaz and won. 7/10
