The Rossonere went into the game as favourites and did not disappoint coming away with a huge 6-1 win. The first half was key with four goals coming in the opening 30 minutes. Bergamaschi opened the scoring with a good exchange from Dowie and Giacinti before a low shot into the back of the net. Giacinti struck next with a half volley from inside the box with a poor attempted save. Dowie scored third with an easy run and chip over the keeper off Grimshaw’s through ball.
