Antonio Vitiello is providing an update on a number of injuries at AC Milan ahead of the second leg against Manchester United at the San Siro on Thursday night. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ismaerl Bennacer and Alessio Romagnoli look to be back as they trained with the group and will likely be available for the game. Simon Kjaer is working toward full fitness. Davide Calabria and Rafael Leao are working on individual training plans. Mario Mandzukic is still out and will only return after the international break.
MilanNews.it are reporting that the big addition will be the return of Ismael Bennacer who has missed 16 games this season but finally looks to have overcome his injury and could make an appearance before the international break. Milan are undoubtedly better with Bennacer especially considering the incredible run of form in 2020 when he was at his top form. The game against Manchester United could be an opportunity for him to come off the bench but he will be pivotal to Milan’s recovery in the final months of the season.
