BBC are reporting that AC Milan’s veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been recalled to Sweden’s national team bringing him out of retirement. He has 62 goals in 116 international games. His coach said,
“First and foremost he is a very good footballer, the best we have had in Sweden. It’s obviously very good that he wants to come back. Apart from what he can contribute on the field, he has incredible experience and can contribute that to the other players in the team.”
Ibrahimovic has also confirmed the call up on his Twitter after four years of international retirement.
Sky via Calcio Mercato are reporting that Ibrahimovic is wanted by head coach Janne Andersson despite previous incidents on social media and the 2018 World Cup snub. He will be available for his side for their three games in the upcoming international break.
