AC Milan took on AS Roma in the capital in a six pointer tie with Milan entering the game in second place and Roma entering the game in fourth place with just five points between them. Milan had not won in their two previous Serie A games and were desperate for some sort of a recovery. Milan started the game well with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ante Rebic stinging Pau Lopez gloves, Fikayo Tomori scoring an offside goal, Ibrahimovic scoring an offside goal and Ibrahimovic stealing the ball from Lopez and failing to back heel into the goal. It was exciting to watch and it felt like Milan were back. We got our break when Calabria was stepped on by Fazio in the box. Franck Kessie stepped up and slotted home for 1-0. Milan were burned early in the second half as Jordan Veretout pulled them level with a curling shot past Gianluigi Donnarumma who wore the captain’s armband for the game. Milan were quick to respond with Saelemaekers playing in Rebic who turned well and slammed the ball against the far post and into the back of the net for the winner. Milan held on with a few more good chances securing a very big win in the race for Champions League spots.
