AC Milan took on AS Roma in the capital in a six pointer tie with Milan entering the game in second place and Roma entering the game in fourth place with just five points between them. Milan had not won in their two previous Serie A games and were desperate for some sort of a recovery. Milan held on with a few more good chances securing a very big win in the race for Champions League spots.
