MilanLive.it are reporting that the prosecutor Giuseppe Chine has opened additional proceedings to look into the matter of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's and Romelu Lukaku's altercation in the Coppa Italia when AC Milan faced Inter Milan at the San Siro a few weeks ago. The sporting judge has already suspended both players for one game in the Coppa Italia but they could face tougher punishments given that the matter has been escalated.
Referee Paolo Valeri is expected to present his notes from the match to Chine, if he conclusively heard the insults being hurled, the matter can be settled there and then, if not the prosecutor will open an investigation using the audio and visual from the cameras ti determine what was said b both players.
If there is any additional punishment to be handed out it is expected to be a time based punishment for the striker which could mean he misses out on a specific time period.
