Rossoneri Round Up for Feb 22: AC Milan Beaten 3-0 By Inter To Fall 4 Points Below First

AC Milan took on Inter Milan for the third derby della Madonnina of the season yesterday afternoon and picked up a hard loss at home. Milan had just lost their grip on first place and have now fallen further with a 3-0 loss. Milan played well and controlled the game for a couple of spells especially at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half putting immense pressure on the opposition but were beaten on the counter multiple times leading to a heavy defeat. Lautaro Martinez scored a brace whilst Romelu Lukaku added the final goal of the game. Milan's defence crumbled under pressure on each of the counter attacks as Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez continue to demonstrate their vulnerabilities. Stefano Pioli needs to regroup and figure out a way to bounce back as Milan have AS Roma next in the league as well as Crvena Zvezda in the Europe this week.
