MilanNews.it are reporting that there is some movement in the negotiations between AC Milan and goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma over a contract renewal. The young goalkeeper is a a symbol of the club as he came through the Primavera and is a hero to the fans. Milan have put forward an offer of 7.5 million euros per year plus bonuses. His agent Mino Raiola is pushing for 10 million euros per year. Milan need to be wary of the talks as they are at risk of losing the player on a free transfer in the summer transfer window if no deal is struck.

Donnarumma was interviewed by the press via MilanNews.it and was asked how he deals with the phase of contract negotiations, he responded:

“How do I live this phase? Peacefully, as I have always lived the years here at Milan. I am calm, I always try to give my best and always give a hand to my team-mates, training 100% and giving everything for this shirt.”

Peppe di Stefano of Sky via MilanNews.it has commented on the developments and said:

“A guy who says that his dream is to play in the Champions League with Milan, I think he has no intention of leaving this club. It is normal, it is in progress, there will be a demand, an offer. If the parties find an economic team, the renewal will come.”
