Fabrizio Romano for Calcio Mercato is reporting that AC Milan continue to keep an eye on their former Primavera midfielder Matteo Pessina at Atalanta as he impresses year after year. The midfielder was part of a dynamic Hellas Verona side last year that punched above their weight in Serie A and has now become a key part of an exciting Atalanta set up where he is flourishing in his box to box role. He has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in all competitions thus far. Milan maintain a sell on clause on the midfielder which would allow them to sign him for 50% off. Milan's management continue to watch the player and will be considering him as an option in the summer if there are complications for Calhanoglu or Diaz.

Tutto Mercato Web are meanwhile reporting that Atalanta will likely be forced to sell to Milan as they will lose a huge transfer fee to the Rossoneri in any other case. The midfielder is important for Gasperini but is not a starter of a vital part of the operation hence a sale seems the likeliest option. They also note that his value has risen since last summer when Milan were originally looking to bring him back to the San Siro.
