MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan and Franck Kessie are still quite apart on the terms of a potential contract renewal for the Ivorian midfielder. The requests from the midfielder are reportedly 7 million euros per season with an additional 1.5 million in bonuses. The offer on the table at the moment from the club is to triple his current 2.2 million to an amount in the ball park of 6-6.5 million euros per season.
Paolo Maldini spoke to Amazon Prime before the FC Porto game to say:
“We have been talking about it for a long time, there will be an opportunity to meet once again with his agent and we will decide in all serenity.”
Daniele Longo speaking to Football Italia a few weeks ago painted a grim picture stating:
“As far as we know, there isn’t a chance to see Kessié leave in January. However, there is a 75% chance he won’t extend his contract with Milan, so he would leave the club as a free agent in the summer. Barcelona, PSG, Manchester United and Tottenham are all ready to secure his service at the end of the season.”
