Antonio Vitiello is reporting that AC Milan could get some players back from injury ahead of the derby della Madonnina this weekend against Inter Milan as the training session today saw a number of players return.

Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz rejoined training last week and both have had some game time. Diaz is expected to start in the derby but Hernandez will miss out due to suspension.

Ante Rebic and Fode Ballo-Toure both had personalised sessions which will be a concern for Stefano Pioli as he is missing a left back as it stand and Rafael Leao is getting a lot of strain and no rest with Rebic missing.

Alessandro Florenzi and Pietro Pellegri returned to group training today which is a massive bonus as they will almost certainly make the bench. Florenzi has been missed in recent weeks as Alexis Saelemaekers has not been putting his best foot forward.

Junior Messias is still working on his personalised program recovering from injury.
