AC Milan Midfielder Franck Kessie Receives Manager’s Faith Despite Contract Issue

AC Milan faced Atalanta in Bergamo last night and midfielder Franck Kessie came though with a big performance amidst his contract controversy. The midfielder received a massive vote of confidence from the manager after his sending off in the midweek.

Stefano Pioli in his post match comments to MilanTV via MilanNews.it:

“His performance was judged more by his contractual history. I know Franck’s worth, he must not confuse us and he does not confuse me. Up until now he wasn’t in the best condition for obvious reasons, but he’s a strong player. I don’t have 11-12 starters but I have a lot of them, there is competitiveness.”

He added in post match presser via Sempre Milan:

“He played an amazing game, he is a very strong player.”

Paolo Maldini prior to the game, when asked about Kessie stated via MilanNews.it:

“There is the management of the match that we face: we try to put the best on the field. We do the contract management, the coach does the management of the field.”
